    • From the Carleton Sentinal, July 4, 1863: "To James Thompson, Esq., High Sheriff of Victoria Co. - The Ptition of the undersigned Resdents, Freeholders and House holders of said Victoria Co. ... pray that public meetings may be called at the different Polling places fixed by law for the Election of Representatives to serve in the General Assembly ... (signed), (see original) Elijah Larlie, Daniel Larlie" Elijah ran in the General Elections of both 1870 and 1873 as a candidate repreesenting Victoria County. Board of Directors: Samuel A. Cameron, James A. Manzer, W. R. Newcomb, Wm Tibbetts, Elijah Larlee, Barnabas Armstrong." From the Daily Telegraph, March 20, 1876: "Elijah Larlee, a prominent magistrate and well known resident of Perth (Victoria Co.) is dead."
