Notes - From the N. B. Courier, August 6, 1864: "We learn with regret that Amos Larlee of Tobique (Victoria Co.) died under the most painful circumstances on Tuesday last. He had gone to a neighbour's, Mr. McNeal's and was looking at a bull owned by MrMr. McN., and took hold of the animal's horns, although advised not to do so, as the creature was known to be ferocious. The bull immedately gored Mr. Larlee three times and he fell exclaiming 'I am a dead man' and immediately ceased to breathe. - 'Carleton Sentinal'"
